One of the main reasons I started this blog, was so that I could learn to be more content. I took this photo yesterday, and although I was feeling slightly depressed when I took it, looking at it now makes me smile. Sometimes it takes a second to realize how truly blessed we are. It takes strength and faith to be content. Strength in persevering when things are tough, and faith to know it will get better. Below are quotes about faith, strength, and contentment. I hope they inspire you this week!
“Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle.” – Napoleon Hill
“Every tomorrow has two handles. We can take hold of it with the handle of anxiety or the handle of faith.”- Henry Ward Beecher
“Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship.”- Buddha
“You feel your strength in the experience of pain.”- Jim Morrison
thank you for sharing this – even though there were no captions – the photo drew me in for a closer look – it’s beautiful.
Thanks! I blogged it in a hurry and forgot to put a title. Oops. Glad the photo drew you in anyway!
Great post, and picture! I hope to learn more about you soon 🙂 Best Regards,
~KL
Thanks so much!
Love this! Glad that you stopped by so I got the chance to find you also! Keep up the good words! There is not enough room for life for too much negativity! 🙂

I’m currently living at the border of jax beach/ponte vedra but on the ponte vedra side. Such a small world! I bet you hawaii is pretty amazing isn’t it?
Oh, that’s just gorgeous. Ok, so I would be completely content, ALL DAY, looking at that scenery. 🙂
So do you feel more content? You do seem very content to me, just my perception. Anyway, your spirit makes me smile.
I’m more content some days then others. How are you? I read your post about tolerance but I can’t where I can like the post.
If you click on the title, it takes you to the post itself and there you can click on like.
Mostly content, emotionally, although I have to be honest, I have a lot of medical problems (physical) that can get me down. That’s why I blog, too! 🙂 Blogging helps me focus on the positive aspects of life. I really relate to what many bloggers have to say. I think we really help each other out.
i couldn’t agree with you more! And thanks, now I know how to leave some love! Blogging has been awesome!
You’re welcome. I know I love it, too. 🙂

Keep them post coming….truly inspiring.
I’m glad you like my post! It’s always nice to know someone finds it useful:)
You have such inspiring posts. Knowing that positive people like you exist makes me feel really happy and nice inside. 🙂
Awww! Thanks so much! I’m glad you like my blog:)
Once I tried to explain to someone the reason why there’s suffering in the world. Throwing all moot religious reasons to the side, I told them, “If there was no pain or ugliness, how would we be able to find a comparison? If life were perfect, how could we ever appreciate it? If there was no effort or hardship, we would never know the meaning of success or beauty…” They scoffed at me, but I have faith that one day they will understand what I meant. It’s good to see that you seem to already possess that understanding ❤
Lovely picture.
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the post!
In this world, we crave for so much, wealth, family, friends, usually we end up having desperate needs of things like cars and houses and stuff, and forget about family, or vise versa, it is hard to be content with what you have, and not to lose it while gaining something else.
Thank you for this wonderful post. Nice picture by the way!
Thank you!! And you are right about people taking their family for granted and putting value on possessions.
#NoteToSelf: Cheer up, Buttercup
Thank you for this.
Of course. I’m glad it inspired you!
That’s the similar reason I started my blog… to make myself sit back and realize my life is great and I have nothing to complain out or feel bad about. Great post! Sometimes cheering up and feeling content is easier said than done but needs to be focused on.
It’s sooo much easier said then done! I’m glad you liked my post:)
Our motivation for blogging is pretty similar! Happy life. Thanks for writing!
🙂
The whole reason I started my blog was because of depression. I forced myself to wake up each day and find ONE thing to be grateful for. I figured even if it were being grateful for a shower, I was thankful and alive. It actually helped slowly to pull me from my depression.
I know that I haven’t posted in a while, so I came by to thank you for swinging by my edge of the web and commenting.
Of course! I hope you start blogging more! I look forward to reading more of your posts!
All of your posts have a similar optimistic, inspiring air to them. But, it’s marvel how just as each star in the universe adds to its incandescence, each one of your posts inspires me in a different way. 🙂
May we all learn to be as strong-willed and content as you! 🙂 🙂
